        • “Come express your creativity and self-love with free tie-dying, bracelet making, hula hoop/limbo contests, and more! Experience an open, playful space dedicated to having fun and embracing your unique self! Celebrate the beauty and diversity of our natural sizes and shapes! Together, we will increase public awareness of the dangers and futility of restriction and dieting.”

      • “Semi-Colon Photo Campaign”
        • “Stop by on your way home from class and take a photo with a semi-colon to be featured as part of our photo campaign in support of Project Semicolon. This project emphasizes suicide prevention by asking people to use a semicolon, instead of a period in dark times. Your story isn’t over, so keep writing it.”

  • “LGBTQ+ Forum”
    • “National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH) and Social Justice Advocates (SJA) are hosting and LGBTQ+ forum to give students a space to talk about modern issues in the community. Free food and drinks provided for all who attend!”

  • “U.S. Central American Counternarratives”
    • “Dr. Karina Alma challenges how Central America and Central Americans have been represented historically as a people and region devoid of knowledge and culture. Her talk centers U.S. Central American counternarratives, produced by several generations of Central American cultural makers, to address how these communities have been attempting to heal transnational cultural traumas and to challenge the epistemic violence that they face daily in this time of crisis.”

  • “Climate Justice Forum 2019: UCLA Community Call to Action”
    • “ECC invites all student organizations and departments to attend our 2nd Annual Climate Justice Forum. Our event will feature a keynote speaker, plant-based dinner, live performances, cross-community dialogue, and the premiere of our documentary Reframing Environmentalism: People of Color and Sustainability.  Anyone from any background is welcome and encouraged to attend!”

  • “Transforming Justice to Transform Community”
    • “The CARE Program invites you to an evening with experts in restorative and transformative justice. We will discuss the power of restorative and transformative practices in addressing unjust social and political inequity and ultimately transforming our community into a space where all people feel safe, respected, and valued.”

  • “Carrying our Ancestors Home”
    • “Join the UCLA American Indian Studies Center for this special event as we launch the new digital project “Carrying our Ancestors Home” and talk through the land acknowledgement and its importance in engaging a new path forward with tribal communities. Discussions will include UCLA as a land grant institution, the state of NAGPRA and a Q&A with Mishuana Goeman (Special Advisor to the Chancellor on Native American and Indigenous Affairs), Shannon Speed (Director of the American Studies Center), and Wendy Teeter (Curator of Archaeology at the Fowler).”

  • “UC Undocumented Student Summit”
    • “Please join us in a weekend full of resources, networking opportunities, workshops, and key notes speakers.  Let’s advocate for a better UC, that uplifts the voice of Undocumented Students.”

  • “Coastalong Festival”
    • “Coastalong is the one and only bike-powered music and sustainability festival at UCLA. Our goal is to spread awareness about alternative energy sources in a funky, cool, and creative space, so we host a variety of activities, booths, and installations each year in addition to all our stellar performers and DJs.”

  • “The Ethics of Pedagogy in Precarious Times”
    • “A lecture by Judith Butler. This open-ended lecture will consider what obligations faculty have toward their students, especially those who are contemplating “going on the market” in a time when jobs are increasingly rare. The lecture develops as a reflection on the Avital Ronell case, acknowledging the problem of faculty complicity in reproducing the social structures that license sexual harassment and the emotional and financial exploitation of students.”

  • “Spring 2019 Town Hall”
    • “UCLA OCHC Presents Spring 2019 Town Hall : All students welcome to come voice their concerns regarding UCPD/ Security, Rooms Division, Dining, Housing, and Maintenance. Town hall will begin with report outs from each department and will then be open to questions from residents.”
