May 9: When Women Were Birds: Fifty-Four Variations on Voice, 7:30 pm at the Mark Taper Auditorium. Author Terry Tempest Williams will explore what it means to have a voice.
May 10: Alison Bechdel in conversation with Deborah Vankin, 7 pm at Mark Taper Auditorium. Bechdel will speak about her new graphic novel and the nature of mother-daughter relationships.
