Hidden Tears / Our campus, their war ground

The following is a submission by Anonymous to our open call for art related to the UCLA encampment and the Palestinian crisis.

“Our campus, their war ground” is a digital rendering capturing the poignant moment of an encampment organizer praying in front of a line of police during the violent raid at UCLA, depicting her lost hope and resort to faith amidst the ruthless transformation of their peaceful protest into a battlefield.

“Hidden Tears” is a pencil sketch capturing the raw emotion and resilience of a woman whose tear-filled eyes, visible through the traditional keffiyeh, speak volumes of silent strength and hidden struggles.
