April 10: Rachel Maddow in conversation with Bill Maher, 8 pm at Saban Theater in Beverly Hills. Ticket includes signed copy of Maddow’s Drift.
April 12: Iranian and Queer, 7 pm to 9:30 pm at the Kerckhoff Grand Salon. Features male and female speakers presenting their experiences identifying as both queer and Iranian.
April 14: Judy Dater exhibition, Thomas Paul Fine Art Gallery. Until May 26. Dater is a photographer whose work focuses on relationships, second-wave feminism, and gender roles. Free admission.
All month (continuing): In Wonderland: The Surrealist Adventures of Women Artists in Mexico and the United States, LACMA. Features works by Frida Kahlo, Louise Bourgeois, Leonora Carrington, Lee Miller and others.
